Stevenson gave up two runs in the first and second innings to the Wolverines (0-1) do go down 4-0, but pushed across eight runs over the next three innings to build a 8-4 lead.

In the third, the Mustangs had the bases loaded as sophomore Brady Kessler led off with a bunt single, followed by a D'Aquanno double.  After Alex Kidwiler walked, Kerber worked a bases-loaded walk to bring in Kessler.  After a groundout erased D'Aquanno at the plate, a groundout by senior Billy Small plated Kidwiler.
