Box Score CHESTER, Pa. - The Stevenson women's soccer team was shutout for the eighth time this season as the Mustangs season comes to an end after dropping a MAC Commonwealth contest versus Widener, 2-0, Saturday evening at Leslie C. Quick Jr. Stadium.
- The Pride (7-6-3, 5-2-1 MAC Commonwealth) recorded the first five shots of the contest, with two going on net. Stevenson's defense came up with a team save while sophomore Keegan Caffrey recorded a save.
- The Mustangs (5-9-3, 3-4-1 MAC Commonwealth) registered their first shot of the game in the 17th minute as a shot by junior Marissa Inglisa was blocked. The visitors earned a corner kick but did not register a shot off the set piece.
- In the 22nd minute, the hosts got on the board as Brielle Errico scored to the upper right corner of the net from the top of the box.
- Inglisa recorded Stevenson's first shot on goal in the 28th minute but Delaney Sabath came up with the save. Sabath had a pair of saves in the opening half, the second coming in the 35th minute off a shot from sophomore Bridget Heist that earned a corner kick.
- Widener nearly went up 2-0 in the 37th minute but She Scannell's shot hit off the crossbar.
- Caffrey kept the deficit at one with a pair of saves in the final 3:31.
- It took Widener just three minutes to pick up where it left off in the opening half, firing a shot on net that Caffrey saved.
- Inglisa recorded three shots on net in a seven minute span, but Sabath came up with three stops. The Mustangs earned a pair of corner kicks on two of the shots but could not recorde a shot on either set piece.
- In the final seven minutes of regulation, Stevenson fired three shots but none of them were on frame, including the final shot by Inglisa that went wide.
- The Mustangs had a free kick in the final two minutes that Caffrey came up to take with everyone in the box, but no one could get a foot on the ball as it rolled past the end line.
- Widener outshot Stevenson, 22-10, including 9-5 with shots on goal. The Mustangs had a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks.
- Caffrey finished with seven saves to finish the year with 103 saves in her first season as the starter.
- The Mustangs finished the season 4-2-1 after starting 1-7-2.
- The game marks the end of the careers for senior Sam Hooker and Jess Littlepage. Hooker appeared and started in all 74 games of her career.
