Box Score OWINGS MILLS, Md. - The Stevenson men's soccer team was limited to just four shots, including just one on goal, as Johns Hopkins scored two goals in each half for a 4-0 victory Wednesday afternoon at Mustang Stadium.
For the second time this season, senior Michael Tringali totaled double digit saves as he recorded 10. But it was the second straight game the Mustangs (0-7-1) failed to find the back of the net.
The Blue Jays attached the Stevenson defense early and often as the visitors recorded the first 12 shots. Johns Hopkins found the back of the net in the 11th minute off its third corner kick as Samy Ramadane found the head of Cole Rosenberger on the back post before Liam Moylan finished in front.
Johns Hopkins doubled the lead with just under three minutes remaining in the opening half as Achim Younker played a short ball through the defense in the 18-yard box for Matthew MacFarquhar who took one touch before ripping it to the top left corner.
The Mustangs recorded their first shot in the 44th minute as freshman Austin Cooper sent the ball wide from the top of the box. And in the final seconds, junior Adam Diabagate sent a shot wide after a through ball by junior Scott Dorman.
The visitors continued to find the back of the net in the second half as Moylan set up a wide-open Ramadane who ran onto the ball inside the box and placed it to the low left corner in the 57th minute.
Gerrit Church got on the scorer's sheet after controlling a long cross from Sebastian Salathe before cutting the ball back and ripping it to the top right corner for the final goal.
The Blue Jays outshot the Mustangs 22-4 and held a 10-1 advantage in corner kicks.
Stevenson continues its four-game home stand on Saturday, September 24 when the Mustangs host Wilkes beginning at 5:00 p.m.
