ESTERO, Fla. – Stevenson University fell to Division I Florida Gulf Coast University in women's beach volleyball Tuesday afternoon at Estero Community Park. The Mustangs fall to 0-3 in their inaugural season, while it marked the season opener for the Eagles.
The closest match of the afternoon, where sophomores Annika Schwartz and Megan Hren battled Mackenzie Allen and Karissa Rhoades. Rhoades and Allen won the second set 22-20 after prevailing 21-18 in the first set.
Stevenson returns to action Thursday afternoon at Eckerd College for a 3:00 dual match.
