Box Score OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Stevenson women's soccer senior Alexis Siejack scored twice and added an assist while freshman Brianna Christie scored twice as the Mustangs cruised to a 6-0 MAC Commonwealth victory over Hood Tuesday evening at Mustang Stadium.
The Mustangs (5-4-1, 2-0 MAC Commonwealth) posted their eighth consecutive victory over Hood and improve to 12-2 in the series. During the eight-game winning streak, Stevenson has outscored the Blazers, 36-2 with six shutouts.
The hosts scored on their first shot of the game as Christie scored a seventh minute goal on an assist from Siejack. Christie, who had scored just one goal in her first nine games, scored her second of the night on just the second shot of the night in the 12th minute.
Just 26 seconds later, sophomore Sam Hooker made it 3-0 with her first goal of the season. The Mustangs scored on all three of their shots to open the game. Siejack rounded out the first half scoring, adding a fourth goal with an unassisted tally in the 23rd minute.
Siejack recorded her sixth career multi-goal game with her second goal of the night with another unassisted score in the 61st minute for her 30th career goal. She is just the sixth player to score 30 points in a career while also moving into sixth place all-time with 69 points.
Freshman Karina Lopez scored her first career goal as she converted on the second penalty kick try of the game for Stevenson.
Rachel Knoebel led the Blazers (2-7-1, 0-2 MAC Commonwealth) with seven saves while junior Tiffany McKee posted her third shutout in the last four games.
The Mustangs outshot Hood, 25-7, including 12-1 in the second half. The hosts also had a slight 4-3 edge in corner kicks.
Stevenson returns to action on Saturday, October 8 when the Mustangs travel to Albright for a MAC Commonwealth contest beginning at 4:30 p.m.
