It was the second consecutive loss for the Mustangs versus Alvernia after winning four of the first five in the series. The Crusaders edged Stevenson, 4-3 in overtime a season ago.

But the hosts responded just 2:39 later as Alexis Krall scored off a rebound that was initially saved by freshman Kelsey Eure.
The Crusaders took a 3-1 halftime lead as Andrea Wysocki scored two of her three goals in a 2:56 span, both assisted by Margarent Wentzel. Following a penalty by Wysocki, Wentzel had the stick stop before passing it back to Wysocki to make it 2-1. She made it 3-1 after finising a pass from Wentzel.
