Ondrejcak Scores Early Goal, Mustangs Defeat Arcadia in Conference Opener

GLENSIDE, Pa. - Stevenson women's soccer senior Allie Ondrejcak scored in the sixth minute as the Mustangs posted a 1-0 victory over Arcadia in the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth opener Saturday afternoon at Easton Field.

With the win, the Mustangs (4-8, 1-0 MAC Commonwealth) snapped their four-game losing streak and more importantly start conference play with a victory. Stevenson, who started 2-5-3 a season ago, ended the regular season with 7-0-1 record and won the conference tournament.

Ondrejcak scored her first goal of the season as her shot from the top of the next curved into the corner of the net. With the start today, Ondrejcak becomes the program's all-time leader with 81 career starts. The midfielder has started every game since becoming a Mustang.

The teams combined for just four shots in the opening half as each goalie recorded a save. The Knights (6-4, 0-1 MAC Commonwealth) finished with a 12-6 advantage in shots after firing off 10 in the second half.

Sophomore Tiffany McKee recorded four saves in her fourth win of the year. It was also the 13th win of McKee's career, which moves her into a tie for fourth place. Brittany Ross '11 is the all-time leader with 22.

Stevenson returns to action on Wednesday, October 7 when the Mustangs host a MAC Commonwealth contest versus Lycoming beginning at 7:00 p.m.'
