Callinan Totals Career-High 13 Saves, Mustangs Fall to Messiah, 4-0

GRANTHAM, Pa. - Stevenson men's soccer senior Ryan Callinan totaled a career-high 13 saves, but the Mustangs totaled just two shots as Messiah posted a 4-0 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth victory Thursday evening at Shoemaker Field.

With the loss, the Mustangs (5-11-1, 2-5 MAC Commonwealth) were eliminated from playoff contention while the Falcons (12-4-1, 6-1 MAC Commonwealth) remain in play for the top seed in the conference tournament.

Messiah scored twice in each period with three of its goals coming on unassisted tallies. The Falcons also totaled 29 shots, including 17 on goal while holding an 11-0 advantage in corner kicks.

Callinan totaled nine of his 13 saves in the second half. It was his third career game with 10-plus saves and first this year.

Stevenson concludes its 2015 season on Saturday, October 31 when the Mustangs host Lebanon Valley on Senior Day. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
