Box Score FREDERICK, Md. - Highlighted by a career-high three assists from senior Allie Ondrejcak and the first career goal by freshman Sam Hooker, the Stevenson women's soccer team posted its fourth-straight victory as the Mustangs defeated Hood, 4-1, in a Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth contest Tuesday afternoon at Thomas Athletic Field.
The Mustangs (7-8, 4-0 MAC Commonwealth) remained unbeaten in conference play and extended their unbeaten streak to 15, including eighth-straight wins. Since the start of the 2014 season, Stevenson has outscored conference opponents, 32-3 in regular season games.
Meanwhile, Stevenson scored three of its four goals off of corner kicks by Ondrejcak. The three assists by Ondrejcak ties the school record for assists in a game as she becomes the fourth player to reach the milestone and first since 2009. Ondrejcak now has 17 career assists, which moves her into a tie for third place all-time with Kerri Harmon '00.
Hooker put the visitors on the board in the 30th minute as Ondrejcak found the freshman off a Stevenson corner kick. Hooker is the first freshman to score this season after five rookies scored during last year's campaign.
Sophomore Kellen Wittman scored her first of two goals just 6:03 into the second half on a header off of the seventh Stevenson corner kick. Wittman has now scored three-straight games.
Ten minutes later, Ondrejcak found the head of Wittman again on the far post off another corner kick. The duo have combined for three goals this season and five during the last two.
Senior Taylor Venturino rounded out the Mustangs scoring with her second career goal and first since the 2012 season. Sophomore Julia Webb tallied her first career point with the assist.
With the two goals today, Wittman now has 18 in her career, which is two shy of cracking the top-10. Meanwhile, sophomore Tiffany McKee picked up her 16th career win and moves into a tie for third place all-time.
The Blazers (4-9, 0-3 MAC Commonwealth) avoided the shutout as Alyssa Nubgaard scored in the final minute of play. Nubgaard received a through ball from Sarah Marcello and scored far post from the edge of the box.
The Mustangs outshot Hood, 23-3 and held a 10-0 advantage in corner kicks. Over the last three games, the team has outshot its opponents, 62-7.
Stevenson returns to action on Wednesday, October 21 when the Mustangs host a MAC Commonwealth contest versus Albright beginning at 7:00 p.m.
