Box Score SALISBURY, Md. - Stevenson women's soccer junior Jordan Porretto scored the game tying goal with six minutes remaining but Samantha Beck scored the game-winner 3:32 into the second overtime as host Salisbury defeated host Stevenson, 3-2 in double overtime Tuesday evening at SU Soccer Complex.
The Mustangs (2-4-3) fell for the first time in double overtime in four games this season. It was the third-straight double overtime game and fourth in the last six.
After a scoreless first half, sophomore Alexis Siejack scored the first of four second half goals on a header off a throw in. However, just 2:06 later, Logan O'Meara tied the game at one before Victoria Luc put the Seagulls (3-3-3) ahead in the 64th minute.
Porretto scored her first of the year on an assist from senior Jamie Matlock to tie the game at two.
Luc sent the ball in from the top of box which found Beck who show to the lower left corner for the game winner.
Both teams totaled ten shots but Salisbury outshot Stevenson 4-0 in the overtime periods, including 3-0 in the second overtime.
The Mustangs return to action on Saturday, September 27 when they travel to Wilkes for the final non-conference contest. Game time is 5:30 p.m.
