Box Score 2 OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Highlighted by the first career goals from juniors Emma Sunness and Sydney Hughes and 23 saves from junior Sarah Modzelewski, the Stevenson women's ice hockey team made its home debut in impressive fashion, posting a 5-0 victory over Chatham on Saturday at Reisterstown Sportsplex.
The Mustangs (2-1) snapped their four-game losing streak at home where they are now 4-4-1 over their last nine. The team's five goals were the most since a 5-1 win at New England College on Jan. 10, 2014.
For Modzelewski, it was her third career shutout and first since a 3-0 win at SUNY Canton on Nov. 3, 2013. She has posted all three shutouts in the program's brief three-year history. She is already 2-0 this season after winning three games in each of her first two seasons.

After going 0-for-8 on the power play in their season-opener, the Mustangs have now scored on three of their last nine attempts, finishing 1-for-3 on Saturday.
Sunness would then score her first career goal in her 44th career game with just 40 seconds left in the period off assists from juniors Brooke Webber and Megan Alexander to give Stevenson a 2-0 lead the first intermission.
Four of the five goal scorers for the Mustangs netted their first career goals as Hughes and freshman Monica Pozuc each netted second-period tallies. For Hughes, her first career goal came in her 47th career game and came just 1:25 after Taggart's scored the 21st of her career.

Sydney Isbell made 13 saves, but allowed all five goals in suffering the loss for Chatham before giving way to ECAC West Goalie of the Week Megan Buchanan who stopped all 20 shots she faced over the final 32:02.
The Mustangs return to action on Friday, November 21 for the first of back-to-back games at SUNY Canton who lost to Chatham earlier this season, 3-0 and 9-2.
