RESISTERTOWN, Md. – The Stevenson University women's ice hockey team (4-18-1 overall, 4-14-1 MAC) fell to Lebanon Valley (17-6-0 overall, 14-5-0 MAC) 2-1 in overtime on senior day.
The Mustangs struck first when Abby Smith found the back of the net, five minutes into play on a power play advantage, assisted by Carleigh Barwick.
Lebanon Valley found their equalizer nearing the 15 minute of play in the second period. The third period ended scoreless where the Dutchmen out shot the Mustangs 14-7.
Lebanon Valley found their golden goal with one minute remaining in overtime.
Emma DeMan led the Mustangs at the face-off dot, going 21-31 in face offs. Maggie Sehnert held in down in goal making 48 saves.
The Mustangs return to action next Friday when they host Arcadia for a 7 p.m. puck drop.
