READING, Pa. - Led by 11 kills from sophomore Kristen Brooks and 10 kills from senior Megan Miller, the Stevenson women's volleyball team finished its third season in the Commonwealth Conference undefeated for the third time, sweeping Alvernia on the road 25-16, 25-14, 25-15 Wednesday at the Physical Education Center.

The Mustangs (25-5, 8-0 MAC) improved their record to 14-1 in three-set matches this season and 10-1 on the road. The team is also an unprecedented 26-0 in three seasons in the Commonwealth Conference.

Brooks and Miller combined for a .378 hitting percentage after totaling 21 kills while committing just four errors in 45 attempts.

As a team, Stevenson hit .229 while the Crusaders (7-12, 1-6 MAC) hit just .049 after totaling just 16 kills and 12 attack errors without a single block by the Mustangs. Alvernia also had nine reception errors with senior Samantha Perillo posting four service aces to go along with a match-high 18 digs.

Perillo now has 2,406 digs for her career, including 588 this season, second only to her school-record 675 a year ago.

Miller added five digs while sophomore Sara Bollinger had six to go along with 28 assists. Freshman Deanna Bradbury had seven digs while freshman Karin Schleimer added 13 assists. Freshman Lauren Weaver had seven kills.

Kristen Sipling led Alvernia with seven kills and five digs. Teresa Zavala had 15 digs and Jamie Morris totaled 13 assists and 10 digs.

Stevenson wraps up the regular season with a tri-match at home on Saturday versus Muhlenberg and Lynchburg beginning at noon inside Owings Mills Gymnasium.

As the top seed in the Commonwealth Conference Women's Volleyball Championship for the third consecutive year, the Mustangs begin their quest for a third-straight conference title at home in the semifinals on Wednesday, November 5.
