Defending MAC Commonwealth Champions, Women's Volleyball Announces 2026 Schedule

Owings Mills, Md. (July 17) – Fresh off the program's eighth MAC Commonwealth Championship and an NCAA Tournament appearance, the Stevenson University women's volleyball team has announced its 2026 schedule as the Mustangs prepare to defend their conference crown under head coach Emma Lorenzen.

Stevenson, which captured the 2025 MAC Commonwealth Championship after defeating runner-up Eastern in the title match, will play a challenging 27-match regular-season schedule featuring eight tournaments, 11 home contests and a full slate of conference competition. The Mustangs advanced to the NCAA Tournament a season ago before falling to Johns Hopkins in the opening round.

The season begins Saturday, Sept. 5, when Stevenson hosts a tri-match inside Owings Mills Gymnasium. The Mustangs will take on St. Mary's College of Maryland and Eastern Mennonite to open the campaign.

Stevenson then travels to Washington, D.C., on Sept. 8 for a conference match up against Catholic before competing in the Juniata Tri-Match on Sept. 12 against Bridgewater and host Juniata. The Mustangs return home on Sept. 15 to open MAC Commonwealth play against Alvernia.

The road continues with the McDaniel Tri-Match on Sept. 19 against McDaniel and Marymount before Stevenson travels to Neumann on Sept. 23 for another conference match up.

The Mustangs return home to host a tri-match on Sept. 25, welcoming Christopher Newport and Notre Dame of Maryland, before traveling to the Johns Hopkins Quad-Match on Sept. 26 to face Scranton and St. John Fisher.

Conference play resumes Sept. 29 at York before Stevenson heads to Williams Paterson on Oct. 3 to face Swarthmore and host William Paterson.

Stevenson hosts Messiah on Oct. 7 before welcoming Salisbury and Susquehanna to Owings Mills for the Battle of the SUs Tri-Match on Oct. 10.

The Mustangs return to road action on Oct. 15 at Shenandoah and host Hood for their annual Dig Pink match on Oct. 21.

Stevenson closes out its regular-season tournament schedule at Gettysburg on Oct. 24 against Muhlenberg and the host Bullets before hosting Widener for Professor Appreciation Night on Oct. 27.

The final two road contests of the regular season come on Oct. 29 at Albright and Nov. 4 at Eastern before the Mustangs close the regular season at home on Nov. 7 against Lebanon Valley for Senior Day.

Following the conclusion of the regular season, Stevenson will look to defend its title at the MAC Commonwealth Women's Volleyball Championship and earn a second consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The conference championship begins with the Play-in Match on Tuesday, Nov. 10, followed by the semifinal round on Thursday, Nov. 12, before culminating with the MAC Commonwealth Women's Volleyball Championship Final on Saturday, Nov. 14. The tournament champion will receive the conference's automatic bid to the 2026 NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship.
