NEWTOWN, Pa. (June 9) – Former Stevenson women's volleyball standout and former assistant coach of the Mustangs Jessica Gieselman has been inducted into the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Hall of Fame as part of the conference's Class of 2026, as announced by the MAC office on Tuesday afternoon.
One of the most decorated student-athletes in Stevenson women's volleyball history, Gieselman becomes the first Stevenson University representative inducted into the MAC Hall of Fame and joins an elite group honored by the conference for excellence in athletics, leadership, and service. The distinction marks another milestone in a remarkable career that spanned from 2010-13.
The first All-American in program history, Gieselman finished her career as a three-time AVCA All-American and two-time MAC Commonwealth Player of the Year. She guided the Mustangs to four consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances while establishing herself as one of the top setters in NCAA Division III history.
Gieselman remains Stevenson's all-time leader in assists with 4,674 career assists, nearly 1,600 more than the next closest player in program history. During her senior campaign in 2013, she led all of Division III with 11.57 assists per set, a mark that still ranks among the top single-season performances in NCAA Division III history.
Throughout her career, Gieselman earned numerous accolades, including:
- Two-time MAC Commonwealth Player of the Year (2012, 2013)
- Three-time All-Conference First Team selection
- Three-time AVCA All-Mid Atlantic Region honoree
- 2012 ECAC Division III South Player of the Year
- Three-time ECAC Division III South All-Star selection
- 2012 Commonwealth Conference Tournament MVP
- CoSIDA/CSC Academic All-District recognition
Beyond her accomplishments on the court, Gieselman has continued to impact the volleyball community through coaching, mentorship, and education. She returned to Stevenson as a member of the women's volleyball coaching staff prior to the 2019 season and has also worked extensively with the Carroll County Volleyball Club, assisting with player development and training young athletes.
Gieselman earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Stevenson in 2014 before later receiving her Master of Arts in Education from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 2018.
In 2024, Gieselman was inducted into Stevenson's Dick Watts Athletics Hall of Fame and was also recognized as a member of the 2013 Team of Tradition.
The MAC Hall of Fame honors former student-athletes, coaches, and contributors who have made significant impacts within the conference through athletic achievement, leadership, and service.
