Alexis Siejack Scores Lone Goal in the Mustangs 2-1 Loss to Rival Salisbury

Box Score

OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Stevenson women's soccer freshman Alexis Siejack (Baltimore, Md./Catholic) scored her team leading seventh goal of the season but two goals in a 8:10 span gave visiting Salisbury a 2-1 victory Wednesday at Mustang Stadium.

The Mustangs (6-4) totaled only seven shots, including just one in the second half, their second lowest total of the season. They totaled six at Johns Hopkins on September 11.

Salisbury leads the overall series 13-3-1, however, Stevenson is 3-4-1 in the last eight meetings, all under eighth-year head coach Graeme Millar.

Siejack struck first in the 34th minute on a perfect lob pass into the box from sophomore Allie Ondrejack (Baltimore, Md./Catholic). It was Ondrejack's first point of the season.

Stevenson went into the break with a 1-0 lead and a 6-2 advantage in shots.

The Sea Gulls (4-3-1) totaled two goals on three shots in the second half, the first on a high bouncing ball that went over the head of freshman Annie McCoach (Cockeysville, Md./Maryvale) for Lindsey Andonian's team leading third goal.

The Mustangs outshot Salisbury 7-5 and held a 7-0 advantage in corner kicks.

Stevenson will travel to face St. Mary's (Md.) in a non-conference contest on Sunday, September 29 beginning at 4:00 p.m.
