Box Score ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. - Stevenson women's soccer senior Mackenzie Calhoun (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) scored twice, tying the game just 57 seconds into the second half, but Deanna Slater scored unassisted with 2:25 remaining to lift Elizabethtown to a 4-3 victory Wednesday afternoon at Ira R. Herr Field.
The loss was the third-straight for the Mustangs (9-7-1, 2-3-1 MAC) who find themselves in seventh-place in the Commonwealth Conference standings with three games remaining. Despite the loss, the team is just four points out of the fifth and final spot in the 2013 Commonwealth Conference Women's Soccer Championship.
Calhoun gave Stevenson a 1-0 lead in the 29th minute before Kacey Cerankowski and Trisha Clark gave the Blue Jays (9-6, 4-2 MAC) a 2-1 halftime advantage. Clark's goal came with only 27 seconds remaining in the first half.
Calhoun scored her second goal of the game and fourth of the season to tie the game at 2-2 before freshman Alexis Siejack (Baltimore, Md./Catholic) scored her team-leading 12th of the season a mere 3:03 later to give the Mustangs a 3-2 lead.
Cerankowski scored her second of the game in the 69th minute to tie the game at 3-3, setting the stage for a crazy final 10 minutes.
Elizabethtown's Alex Topa was assessed a yellow card at 80:41 while Stevenson junior Jordan Porretto (Lake Grove, N.Y./Ward Melville) was given a red for an elbow in the box. The Mustang bench then received a yellow card at 85:19 before Cerankowski was yellow carded at 86:43.
Slater then netted the game-winner just 52 seconds later.
Both teams finished with nine shots apiece while the Mustangs had one more corner. Neither team had a second-half save. Sophomore Alicia Greene (Jarrettsville, Md./North Harford) made her first career start in goal, making one save while Dana Robidoux had two for Elizabethtown.
Stevenson wraps-up its 2013 regular-season home schedule on Saturday when its hosts a crucial Commonwealth Conference contest versus Albright at Mustang Stadium beginning at 4:00 p.m., on Senior Day. The Lions are currently in sixth place in the conference standings, three points ahead of the Mustangs.
