Box Score GLENSIDE, Pa. - Stevenson women's soccer freshman Annie McCoach (Cockeysville, Md./Maryvale) made six saves en route to earning her fourth shutout of the season on Saturday as the Mustangs battled Arcadia to a scoreless draw at Easton Field in a battle for first place in the Commonwealth Conference.
Stevenson (9-4-1, 2-0-1 MAC), who entered the game ranked fourth in the NSCAA Mid-Atlantic Region Poll, extended its unbeaten streak to four. During that time, the Mustangs have outscored its opponents, 14-1.
Meanwhile, the Knights (9-1-3, 2-0-1 MAC), who came in ranked fifth in the region, did not win at home for the first time in six games this season.
Ironically, the last scoreless tie for Stevenson came 26 games ago in the team's first-ever meeting versus Arcadia back on Oct. 6, 2012.
McCoach totaled three of her saves in the second half as the Mustangs were outshot, 7-3.
Stevenson's leading scorer, freshman Alexis Siejack (Baltimore, Md./Catholic), registered a team-high five shots, including three on goal, but each was turned away by the Knight's Jackie Law who finished with nine saves on the day as she remained unbeaten in 10 out of 11 decisions this season.
Both teams are tied atop the Commonwealth Conference standings, half-a-game ahead of Elizabethtown who is 2-0.
Stevenson returns home to face Elizabethtown at Mustang Stadium on Tuesday beginning at 7:00 p.m.
