OWINGS MILLS, Md. - The Stevenson men's soccer team controlled the game's first 75 minutes, but three consecutive goals by Kevin Gorman, including two in a span of 23 seconds, lifted Bridgewater (Va.) to a 3-1 victory Wednesday at Mustang Stadium.

The loss was the third-straight for the Mustangs (3-3) all of which have come against teams from the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.

Stevenson held a 19-12 advantage in shots and an 11-0 margin in corner kicks.

Despite having a large statistical advantage and the majority of the game's best scoring changes, the Mustangs could not find the back of the net, allowing the Eagles to gain control in the 76th minute when Gorman scored the first of his three goals off a free kick to put them ahead, 1-0.

Gorman would strike again just 23 seconds later off an assist from Ryan Tavernaris on what would prove to be the game-winner.

Gorman completed the natural hat-trick with his third-straight goal and his fourth of the season in the 88th minute on another free kick from almost the identical position as the first goal to cap a flurry of goals for Bridgewater who scored all three of its goal in a span of 11:04 after a scoreless first 76 minutes.

Stevenson would avoid the shutout in the 89th minute as freshman Khristian Hall (Philadelphia, Pa./LaSalle College) would net his team-leading third goal of the season, tying him with junior Christopher Panian (Monkton, Md./John Carroll).

Sophomore Yianni Sarioglou (Perry Hall, Md./Calvert Hall) picked up his team-leading fifth assist on the play.

Freshman Kenneth Hersey (Clarksville, Md./Atholton) made four saves in his second start of the season in goal while counterpart T.J. Martin also had four stops for the Eagles.

The Mustangs travel to Rowan on Saturday for a 1:00 p.m., contest with the Profs.
