Mustangs Extend Unbeaten Streak to Seven With 7-0 Victory Versus Hood

Box Score

OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Stevenson women's soccer freshman Alie Ondrejcak (Waldorf, Md./Thomas Stone) and junior Mackenzie Calhoun (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) combined for seven points as the Mustangs extended their winning streak to seven with seven goals in a 7-0 victory over Hood Wednesday at Mustang Stadium.

Stevenson (11-4-2, 5-1-2 MAC) also posted its sixth shutout of the season and its fourth in the last five games. During the month of October, the team has allowed just two goals while outscoring its opponents, 18-2.

Freshman Allison Johnson (Mt. Laurel, N.J./Lenape) remained unbeaten this season as well, improving her record to 8-0-1 in 12 appearances and 11 starts. She shared the shutout on Wednesday with junior Lauren Weitzman (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) who played the final 59:52. Neither was required to make a save.

The Mustangs scored three goals in the game's first seven minutes with Ondrejcak scoring the first two just one minute apart at 2:33 and 3:33. Sophomore Meaghan Williams (Dundalk, Md./Dundalk) assisted Ondrejcak's second goal before following with her third goal of the season at 6:24 off a feed from Calhoun to give Stevenson a 3-0 halftime lead.

Calhoun opened the scoring just 4:05 into the second half with her third goal of the year at 49:05 before assisting junior Alexa Narron (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) on her first goal of her career in 58 appearances at 52:50.

Narron is the 16th player to score a goal for the Mustangs this season and the 19th to register a point.

Junior Shannon McGuire (Darnestown, Md./Northwest) bent a corner kick over the line at 59:52 for her fourth goal of the season before freshman Alexandra Nesselt (Germantown, Md./Poolesville) capped the scoring with her second at 60:12.

Stevenson totaled 46 shots in the contest and held an 8-0 advantage in corner kicks.

Leah Norris totaled 17 saves for the Blazers (2-14, 0-7 MAC), one shy of her career-high set versus Lebanon Valley on October 18. She now has 144 saves this season, moving her into fifth place on the school's single-season list.

Stevenson, currently second in the Commonwealth Conference standings with one game remaining, wraps up the regular season on Saturday when it hosts Alvernia at Mustang Stadium beginning at 2:00 p.m., on Senior Day.
