ANNVILLE, Pa. - Stevenson women's soccer sophomore Meaghan Williams (Dundalk, Md./Dundalk) scored the game-winner in the 74th minute off a cross from junior Catherine Madden (Bethesda, Md./Walter Johnson) to give the Mustangs their first Commonwealth Conference victory versus Lebanon Valley Wednesday at Herbert Field, 2-1.

The win snapped a two-game road losing streak for Stevenson (7-4, 1-1 MAC) who entered the game ranked sixth in the NSCAA Mid-Atlantic Region Poll. Meanwhile, the Dutchmen were ranked at No. 10.

Williams' goal was her second of the season, giving her seven points and ranking her second on the team in scoring behind junior Jamie Matlock (Bridgeton, N.J./Cumberland) who has 11.

Lebanon Valley (5-5, 1-1 MAC) opened up the scoring just three minutes into the game on an unassisted tally by Jess Kleeschulte.

However, the Mustangs would get the equalizer with with less than a minute remaining in the first half when junior Jennifer Simkin (Halethorpe, Md./Centennial) scored off a corner kick after the ball deflected off Lebanon Valley keeper Sami Young and into the net.

Despite being outshot 11-3 in the second half, Williams' game-winner came on Stevenson's final shot of the game in the 74th minute. It was her eighth career goal and her first game-winner.

Freshman Allison Johnson (Mt. Laurel, N.J./Lenape) improved her record to 4-0 in goal after recording nine saves, tying her career-best set versus Bridgewater (Va.) on September 8 at the Greensboro College Tournament.

Young did not register a save for the Dutchmen.

Stevenson returns to action on Saturday when it hosts Arcadia in a Commonwealth Conference contest at Mustang Stadium beginning at 4:00 p.m.
