Box Score OWINGS MILLS, Md. - After a scoreless 56 minutes, a quartet of Blue Jays opened up the scoring in the second half, including two goals within 33 seconds, to defeat the Mustangs 4-0 Wednesday at Mustang Stadium.
Stevenson (7-9, 2-4 MAC) held an 18-12 advantage in shots, including a 12-6 margin in the first half, but the Blue Jays capitalized in the second half, scoring on four of their six shots.
Wednesday marked the first-ever between Stevenson and Elizabethtown.
Six different players recorded at least one point for the Blue Jays (7-6-2, 5-1 MAC), including Phill Spectors who scored the fourth and final goal on a 35-yard blast for the first tally of his career.
Freshman Kenneth Hersey (Clarksville, Md./Atholton) made two saves, but was tagged with the loss while freshman Kevin Westenberg (Baltimore, Md./Towson) made his fourth appearance of the season, playing the final 9:07.
Elizabethtown's Eric Carr made five saves while recording his second shutout of the season.
The Mustangs, who currently find themselves in a three-way tie for sixth-place in the Commonwealth Conference standings with three games to play, travel to Albright on Saturday. Game time is at 8:00 p.m.
