CARLISLE, Pa. - Stevenson men's soccer freshman Yianni Sarioglou (Perry Hall/Calvert Hall) scored his first career goal less than two minutes into the gameand it proved to be the game-winner as the Mustangs beat Arcadia 1-0 Saturday in the Red Devil Classic hosted by Dickinson College.

The win was the second win of the season for Stevenson (2-2) and the second by shutout and second by a 1-0 margin. The team opened the season with a 1-0 victory at Bridgewater (Va.) on September 1 on a goal in the 94th minute by senior Justin Carver (Manchester/North Carroll).

The Mustangs managed to hold the Knights scoreless for the next 88 minutes thanks to five saves from senior goalkeeper Ryan Flannelly (Middlesex, N.J./Middlesex) and a defensive effort that limited Arcadia to 10 shots, five in each half.

The shutout was Flannelly's second of the season and 10th of his career.

The Knights (2-2) outshot Stevenson 10-6 while each team had three corner kicks.

The Mustangs finish off their five-game road trip to opent he season when they take on tournament host Dickinson Sunday at 3:30 p.m.
