had two hits and drove in two while senior Derrick Nason
(Catonsville/Reservoir) earned his second win in the
Mustangs' 7-4 CAC victory over York (Pa.) Friday at Yankee Stadium
Field.
The win was the third consecutive for Stevenson (11-2, 5-2 CAC)
and its fifth in six games at home this season.
With the game tied at 2-2 in the fifth, the Mustangs scored
three runs on back-to-back, two-out doubles by Krochune
and junior Jeff Bihy (Baltimore/Eastern Tech).
Stevenson increased its lead to 7-3 after an RBI
single by junior Chris Maienshein
(Finksburg/Westminster) with two outs in the bottom of the
seventh.
The Spartans (5-8, 2-4 CAC) threatened in the eighth with
runners on the corners and no outs against Mustang junior

where they won three out of four.
Nason scattered six hits and allowed just three runs over
six-and-a-third while striking out three to pick up his second win
in his second start.
Papuchis and Krochune each went 2-for-4 to lead Stevenson as six
of its 11 hits went for extra bases. Junior Dustin Tarlow
