season just 3:06 into the game before sophomore Ryan Brost
(Pennington, N.J./Hopewell Valley) scored his team-leading
third goal of the year at 4:38 off a rare double assist from Otto
and sophomore Sam Bryant (Burlington Township,
N.J./Burlington Township).
Sophomore Kyle Baker (Mitchellville/Bowie)
would then net his second goal in as many games in the 18th minute
before freshman Ryan Pierce (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill
West) also picked up his second eight minutes later off a
feed from Otto to give Stevenson a 4-0 halftime lead.
Stevenson has outscored its opponents 15-4 in the
first half this season, including 14-1 at home. On Saturday, the
Mustangs held a 19-7 edge in shots and 10-0 margin in the first
half.
Otto would later tie Brost with his third goal of the season in
the 69th minute to cap the scoring.
For the second-straight game, sophomore Ryan Flannelly
(Middlesex, N.J./Middlesex) needed just one save to earn
the victory as he made his seventh start and played 54 minutes
before giving way to freshmen Greg Coard
(Timonium/Dulaney) and Cory Spindler
(Sykesville/Century). Spindler made a career-high three
saves in just over 20 minutes of action.
As a team, Stevenson boasts a 1.14 goals against average and an
.805 saves percentage so far this season.
The Mustangs will put its home record to the test this week as
