increase its lead to nine before the Mustangs began their comeback.
Eckert's two-run homer, combined with a two-run double by
sophomore Chris Maienshein (Finksburg/Westminster)
in the fifth, cut the deficit to five before Stewart and
junior George Papuchis (Damascus/Good Counsel)
added RBI doubles in the sixth to pull the team within three.
Papuchis, Anderson and Stewart all went 3-for-5 while sophomore
Kyle Van Beek (Bel Air/John Carroll) was 3-for-4.

season after allowing 10 hits over two innings. The Mustangs
totaled 19 hits, but stranded 11 runners on base and were limited
by four errors.

but was the benefactor of his team's 11 runs on 11 hits and
Stevenson's four errors.
York took a 3-0 lead in the top of the second of game two with
three unearned runs, but that would be all the runs the Mustangs
would allow.
Freshman Jake Sodeman (Davidsonville/South
River) scattered six hits over 4.2 innings before junior
Brian Spinazzola (Baltimore/Boys Latin) earned his
second save after surrendering just two hits over the final 2.1
innings while striking out two.
