Glen Burnie, MD - The Mustangs dropped their 3rd conference
game in a row today as the the Sea Gulls used their power
to beat the Mustangs 17-1.
The game started with the Mustangs loading the bases in the 1st
inning with zero out, but were not able to come away with any
runs. Salisbury Starter Ryan Bennick (4-0) scattered 11 hits over 8
innings to pick up the victory. Freshman Kyle Van Beek (Bel
Air, MD/John Carroll) went 3-5 with a double, Senior
Buddy Breidenbaugh (Perry Hall, MD/Perry
Hall) was 3-4 with a triple, and the lone run was
scored when Junior Brett Steele (Arnold,
MD/Broadneck) hit a solo Home Run in the 3rd, he
finished the day 2-4.
It will be a quick turnaround for the Mustangs, as they are
back at it again versus Salisbury University at Salisbury on
Thursday, gametime is set for 1 pm.
