Owings Mills, MD- VJC men's soccer hosted Arcadia
University in their second home game of the week. The
Mustangs were able to secure a victory, bringing their record to
3-4-0 for the season.
Arcadia scored in the 27th minute and held a 1-0 lead
at halftime. The Mustangs came back with two spectacular
goals in the second half. Ryan Payne (Millersville,
MD/Old Mill) headed the ball into the back of the net off
an assist from Scott Andrzejewski (Towson,
MD/Towson) in the 57th minute. Then in
the 62nd minute Andrzejewski fed the
ball to Kim Myrick (Columbia, MD/Wilde
Lake) who carried the ball upfield and fired a cross to
Brent Woolford (Pasadena,
MD/Northeast). Woodford headed the
ball past Arcadia goalkeeper Jeff Kratohwill to bring the Mustang's
lead to 2-1.
The Mustangs will take on CAC opponent Gallaudet University on
Monday, September 24, in D.C.
