Ferrum, VA.-
The York College baseball team hammered the Villa Julie Mustangs
21-0 in the second round of the 2007 NCAA Baseball Ferrum Regional
in Ferrum, VA. The Spartans improve to 30-13 overall while the
Mustangs conclude their season with a mark of 24-22.
The Spartans scored early and often, tallying six runs in the top
of the first inning. Buddy Breidenbaugh took
the loss as he falls to 3-6 for the year. Breidenbaugh allowed
eight runs, six earned, on nine hits in four innings. The Mustang
bullpen was little relief as three VJC relievers combined to allow

five innings of action. Tim Frisch was the beneficiary
of tremendous run support as he threw six innings, allowing four
hits with two strikeouts and one walk.
Wade Keenan led the Mustangs with two hits
including his seventh two-bagger of the year. Dave
Brown came off the bench and had a pair of singles for
Villa Julie.
The Mustangs conclude their best year to date with their 24 wins
and first-ever trip to the NCAA tournament.
