Glen Burnie, MD.-
Game 1 started out with the Mustangs spotting Cazenovia a 1 run
lead, then scoring two in the bottom of the first only to give it
away for good in the top of the 2nd. The Mustangs then
fought back to make it a 5-7 game in the bottom of the 9th where
they loaded the bases with 2 outs but left them stranded.
Sophomore Ryan Baione (2-3) took the loss on
the day. Offensively, sophomore Wade
Keenan and junior Jimmy Smith each went
2-4 with 2 RBI's on the day.
Game 2 started with the Mustangs scoring 1 in the 2nd and building
a 4-0 lead thanks to 6 strong innings by senior
Garrett Sanders only to let the lead evaporate in
the 7th. The Mustangs allowed 5 unearned runs in the 7th to
hand the lead over to Cazenovia, setting up the scenario for the
Mustangs 2nd come from behind win in their last at bat this
weekend. Sophomore Bryan Chouinard led off
the bottom of the 7th with a walk, after a sac bunt by junior
Nick Deaner, junior Alex
Laddbush was walked, junior Buddy
Breidenbaugh was hit, and junior
Jimmy Smith walked to tie the game. Freshman
Brian Moran then took the first pitch he saw and
drove it down the left field line to win the ballgame 6-5.
Junior Alex Laddbush picked
up his 2nd win in as many days in relief. Offensively,
Moran had 3 hits with his 2 RBI's, and
Breidenbaugh pitched in for 2 hits and a RBI.
The Mustangs are back in action tomorrow at #19 Johns Hopkins
University for a 3:30pm start.
