NEWTOWN, Pa. (April 23) - The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) released its Men's Outdoor Track & Field Pre-Championship Coaches' Poll this week, and the Stevenson University Mustangs earned a solid vote of confidence from around the league, coming in at No. 11 overall heading into the 2026 MAC Outdoor Championships.
Competing in a deep 16-team field, Stevenson is positioned to make noise against a tightly packed middle of the standings. Lebanon Valley leads the poll, followed by Messiah and Eastern, while the Mustangs sit within striking distance of the top half of the conference. The ranking highlights the program's continued growth and the respect it has built among conference coaches thanks to consistent performances throughout the postseason of indoors and into the outdoor season.
With strength across sprints, distance events, and the field, Stevenson will rely on its depth and versatility to outperform its preseason projection. The Mustangs will look to gain valuable points early and carry that momentum through the weekend as they challenge teams ahead of them in the standings.
The MAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships begin Thursday, April 30 at 1 p.m., with the second day of competition set for Friday, May 1 at 9:15 a.m., and a champion team crowded on Saturday, May 2 with a start time for the day at 11 am. All three days of the meet will be hosted by Messiah.
