ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. - The Stevenson women's golf team is in third place out of 12 teams with a score of 359 (+71) after the opening round of the McDaniel Spring Invitational, held at The Bridges Golf Club.

Leading the way for the Mustangs was Carissa Dargenio who carded an opening round score of 84 (+16). Dargenio is tied for eighth on the leaderboard.

Sydni Sundstrom finshed the day with a 90 (+18) and tied for 12th. 

Rounding out the team score for Stevenson were Callie Dias and Alexis Marsh who carded scores of 91 and 92. 

Nisachon Sillence finished at +29. Emma Groth, Kaitlyn Lucas and Gabriela Simpson shot scores of 104, 104 and 106 for the Stevenson "B" team.

The second and final round takes place on Sunday, March 29.
