York, Pa. (February 11) – The Stevenson women's basketball team hit the road Wednesday night for a MAC Commonwealth contest at York (Pa.), falling to the Spartans, 53–37, after 40 minutes inside Charles Wolf Gymnasium.

York used the energy of the home crowd to jump out early, scoring five quick points in the opening minutes. Stevenson settled in behind a three-pointer from Tessa Boswell and continued to chip away at the deficit when Anaya Price knocked down a triple of her own, helping the Mustangs close the gap to 14–9 at the end of the first quarter.

The second quarter remained tightly contested, with both teams trading baskets. Stevenson kept pace, trailing the Spartans by just one point in the period. Contributions from Isabella Serano and Sanna Thorne helped the Mustangs stay within striking distance, heading into halftime down 23–17.

Out of the break, Kalea Wynter sparked the offense with a pair of layups to bring Stevenson within two possessions at 25–21. York responded with a run of its own to stretch the margin back to double digits. Despite baskets from Price and Thorne, the Mustangs trailed 37–29 entering the final quarter.

Stevenson shared the ball effectively and made one final push midway through the fourth, but the Spartans' defense held firm down the stretch. A late free throw from Price accounted for Stevenson's final points as York secured the 53–37 decision.

The Mustangs return home to Owings Mills Gymnasium on Saturday, February 14 for a MAC Commonwealth match up against Messiah. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
