ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. - Sydni Sundstrom took first place at the season-opening McDaniel Fall Invitational, held at The Bridges Golf Club, with a nine-over par 81. Sundstrom, who was making her Stevenson debut, propelled the Mustangs to a one-stroke victory over Gettysburg in the team standings (345, +57).

Alexis Marsh finished fourth with a score of 85 (+13), while Carissa Dargenio opened up her collegiate career with an 89 and a 10th-place finish. Callie Dias, who was also making her collegiate debut, finished one stroke behind Dargenio.

Nisachon Sillence finished the day at +17 for the Mustangs. Ela Simpson and Isabella Ventura (First Year) notched scores of +22 and +25 for the Stevenson "B" team.

The Mustangs will tee off next when they host the Pride of Maryland Fall Invitational, held at the Pine Ridge Golf Club, on Saturday, Sept. 13.
