NEWTOWN, Pa. – The Stevenson University football team was picked in a tie for third place according to the 2025 Middle Atlantic Conference Coaches' Preseason Poll released on Thursday morning.
The Mustangs received 55 points, tying for third with Eastern who also had 55 points and one first-place vote.
King's, who captured the Middle Atlantic Conference title last season, was tied for first with Delaware Valley at 76 points. King's received five first-place votes, while Delaware Valley received four.
In fifth, Widener had 53 points, followed by FDU-Florham in sixth with 47 points.
Lebanon Valley was seventh at 35 points, with Misericordia in eighth at 26 points, Alvernia in ninth at 14 and Albright in tenth at 13 points.
Stevenson finished 5-6 last season and 5-4 in the Middle Atlantic Conference. The Mustangs ended Delaware Valley's 54-game MAC win streak with a 21-20 win back on September 21. Stevenson appeared in the postseason for the tenth time as it made a trip to Morrisville, N.Y. for the ECAC Robert M. "Scotty" Whitelaw Bowl.
The season begins on Saturday, September 6, at 7 p.m. as the Mustangs visit Bridgewater State.
