Three Mustangs named to 2025 All-MAC Commonwealth Baseball Squad

NEWTOWN, Pa. - Three Stevenson University baseball players were named to the All-Commonwealth squad on Monday morning. The team was made up of players who were nominated by their coaches, who then voted on the team and were not permitted to vote for their own players. 

Senior relief pitcher Ari Lonstein was named as a first-team selection as a relief pitcher, while sophomore pitcher John Delgado was named as a second-team pitcher. 

Finally, junior Collin Palmieri was named as honorable mention shortstop. 

Lonstein, in 20 games, had a 1.89 ERA with two saves. He went 2-0 in 19 innings of work allowing just four earned runs. He fanned 23 and walked 14 while allowing just 15 hits. 

Delgado started 11 games, with a 1-6 mark and 4.29 ERA. He struck out 64, walked just 11 and allowed 24 earned runs. 

Palmieri led the team with a .400 batting average on the year. In 36 games, he had 46 hits with 12 extra-base hits (7 doubles, 5 triples). He drove in 21 runs and scored 14 on the year. In 115 at bats, he struck out just 13 times.
