Baseball closes season at Eastern

PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa. - The Stevenson University baseball team concluded its 2025 season on Sunday, dropping a doubleheader to Eastern at Villanova Ballpark.

The Mustangs came up on the short end of a 4-2 decision to the Eagles in game one, while falling 2-1 to Eastern (17-23) in game number two. 

Game 1 - Eastern 4, Stevenson 2
Down 2-0 after the first inning, Stevenson got one run in the second on a Sam Batiancila RBI single to left scoring Kaige Garrity. The Mustangs would get its other run of the game in the seventh as Garrity scored on a passed ball. 

In addition to scoring the two runs, Garrity also went 2-for-2 at the plate, getting a double. Nick Griffin, Dalton Reinhart and Brandon Perillo also hit safely. 

John Delgado took the loss, but struck out eight and walked five allowing just two earned runs and three hits in six innings. 

Game 2 - Eastern 2, Stevenson 1
Stevenson (10-29) took an early 1-0 lead in the second as Vincent Licor reached on a fielders choice scoring Christopher Manco. 

AJ Viccora had two hits in the loss, with Michael McGarry, Collin Palmieri, Manco, Batiacila, Reinhart and Chase Endres all hitting safely. 

Zane Stone took the loss, striking out three and walking one in three innings of work. Sommers Turner struck out two in three innings, while Caden Dail, Carl Sansbury and Ari Lonstein all pitched in relief.
