READING, Pa. – The Stevenson men's ice hockey team (1-2) fell to Alvernia (3-0) 2-0 on Friday evening.
The Golden Wolves put away their first goal in the 9th minute of the first period to take a 1-0 advantage. In the second period, Alvernia netted their second goal to secure the 2-0 win over the Mustangs.
The Mustangs outshot Alvernia 42-23 in the contest, while Jack Meloff and Lucas Karlsson led the blocks column with three a piece. Ford DeLoss played in goal for the Mustangs, making 21 saves.
The Mustangs will face Alvernia again on Saturday to look for revenge. Puck-drop is slated for 7 p.m.
