Owings Mills, Md. (October 22) – The Stevenson men's basketball team was selected to finish tied for seventh in the 2025-26 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth Preseason Coaches Poll, announced by the conference office on Wednesday morning.
Alvernia was chosen as the preseason favorite with 42 points and three first-place votes, followed closely by Hood with 41 points and two first-place votes. York rounded out the top three, collecting 40 points and two first-place nods.
Albright took fourth with 33 points, while Eastern and Widener followed with 26 and 22 points, respectively. Stevenson and Messiah tied for seventh with 10 points apiece.
The MAC Commonwealth slate will feature home-and-away matchups with each conference opponent, leading up to the conference championship tournament in late February.
The Mustangs will look to make strides in the upcoming season under first year head coach Jack Bors, returning a solid group of contributors and a promising mix of new talent. Stevenson opens the 2025-26 campaign on Friday, November 7 against Goucher.
