CHESTER, Pa. - Nathan Williams claimed the conference title in the hammer throw with a top toss of 61.29m on day one of the MAC Outdoor Championships, hosted by Widener. Williams - whose throw was 7.76m farther that the second place finisher - has the third best performance in Division III (62.13m).

Hayden Schindler picked up a point for the Mustangs in the 10000m run with a time of 32:25.06, which gave him eighth place overall.

Jackson Hall currently sits in 11th place in the decathlon after five events, highlighted by a fourth place finish in the 100 (11.74) and sixth place finish in the high jump (1.70m).

The second day of the championships take place on Friday, May 3.
