Box Score READING, Pa. - The Stevenson women's tennis team dropped a close MAC Commonwealth match to host Alvernia, 5-4.
Torrienne Emery and
Shelby Carter opened up doubles play with an 8-6 win in No. 1, which improved their record to 6-4.
Kara Chwang and
Sofia McCoy cruised to an 8-2 win in No. 3 - improving their record to 2-0 on the year.
Tiffany Njemanze and
Mackenzie Dicke would pick up the only two singles wins for the Mustangs. Njemanze overcame a one-set deficit to take her No. 5 match, 4-6, 6-1, 10-5 for her third win on the year. Dicke also came back to earn her second win of the year, 5-7, 6-4, 11-9.
Carter lost a close second set in a 6-3, 7-6 setback in No. 2.
The Mustangs will look to get back in the win column in a road match against Messiah on Monday, April 22 at 3:30 p.m.
