Box Score OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Nationally-ranked York College of Pennsylvania opened a 10-3 lead at intermission before defeating Stevenson 15-5 in a key Middle Atlantic Conference women's lacrosse match on Wednesday night.
York (8-6, 4-0) got five goals from Zoe Kluegel on their way to the win, while Stevenson (9-5, 3-1) dropped its first league game of the season.
Stevenson got three goals from
Kara Yarusso, while
Isabelle VanEmburgh and
Sophia Murray netted a goal each.
Murray had nine draw controls and two caused turnovers, while also picking up two ground balls.
In goal,
Regan Torbert made five saves with
Anna Johnston getting four in the second half.
Stevenson will head to Messiah on Saturday.
