WINCHESTER, Va. - The Stevenson women's track and field team opened up its indoor season at the Holiday Kickoff Open, hosted by Shenandoah.
Kaitlyn Hess placed fifth in the triple jump with a hop, skip and jump of 9.87m. Hess would also place ninth in the long jump with a top distance of 4.63m.
Kayla Brady turned in a solid time of 2:39.5 in the 800 to take 10th overall, while
Malee Eagle clocked a 6:25.74 in the mile.
Destiny Stephens clocked times of 29.43 and 8.72 in the 200 and 60, respectively.
Sarah Kroedel finished tied for seventh in the pole vault (2.15m).
Nneoma Oseagulu placed 14th out of 30 competitors in the weight throw with a top distance of 10.95m.
Stevenson will have a long break from competition before traveling to the Winter Evening Invite at UPenn, hosted by Widener, on Friday, Jan. 24.
