OWINGS MILLS, Md. - The Stevenson women's swimming team picked up its fifth win of the season in a 155-91 triumph over visiting McDaniel.
Mackayla Du and
Eryn O'Brien led the way for the Mustangs with two wins apiece. Du clocked a 2:24.19 in the 200 Back to take first overall, while
Alexa Darak (2nd) and Sophia Schultze (3rd) touched the wall just behind Du with times of 2:31.68 and 2:37.26. Du would also clock a 25.80 in the 50 Free to take first in that event.
O'Brien won the 100 Breast with a time of 1:22.79. Teammates
Rachel Kaczmarski and
Emmalynn Kohl finished second and third with times of 1:24.69 and 1:26.01. O'Brien would also take first in the 400 IM with a time of 5:23.32.
Alexa Darak picked up a win for the Mustangs in the 1000 Free with a time of 12:03.17 - just under 19 seconds faster than the second-place finisher. Schultze won the 100 Back with a time of 1:12.
Natalie Kent placed second in the event with a time of 1:14.34.
Hailey Buenemann won the 200 Breast by more than five seconds with a time of 3:00.83.
The Mustangs would also go on to sweep the relays. O'Brien, Schultze, Buenemann and Du won the 400 Yard Medley Relay by 30 seconds with a time of 4:31.76. Kent, Darak, Kaczmarski and Du closed out the meet in the 200 Free Relay with a time of 1:48.52.
The Mustangs (5-2, 3-0 MAC) compete next in the three-day Spartan Invitational, hosted by York, starting on Friday, Nov. 22.Â
