October 16, 2024 (Lexington, KY) — The American Volleyball Coaches Association is pleased to announce three groups of recipients—College, Club, and Beach—of its 2024 Thirty Under 30 Awards program.
Stevenson's second year head coach Ian Capp earned the prestigious title after a pair of National Championship appearances in his rookie year.
Capp led the Mustangs' Men's Beach Volleyball program to the first-ever AVCA Beach National Championship last season, bringing home a fourth-place finish. In the spring, while assisting with the Women's Beach Volleyball program, Capp was instrumental in helping the Mustangs to a bronze medal at the Small College Beach Championships.
In his second year with the Mustangs, Capp returned as the Men's Beach coach and was named the head Women's coach as well.
The Thirty Under 30 honors program recognizes up-and-coming coaches in these different sectors of the sport who serve in a range of roles, from head coach to volunteer assistant to club director. Each of this year's recipients had to be age 30 or under as of Dec. 31, 2023, to qualify for the award.
Beach Awards
