Box Score BEL AIR, Md. - The Stevenson women's tennis team dropped its non-conference match to host Harford Community College, 8-1, which drops their overall record to 6-6.
Torrienne Emery and
Tiffany Njemanze dropped their No. 1 doubles match by an 8-4 score, while
Samantha Zudov and
Jacquelyn Nesbeth fell by the same margin in No. 2. Emery and Njemanze's doubles record fell to 3-4 with the loss.
Erin Saunders and
Kera Skove lost a hard-fought match in No. 3, 8-7 (7-5).
Emery lost a competitive match in No. 1 singles, 6-4, 6-3. Nesbeth won the first set in her match before falling in a three-set tiebreak, 5-7, 6-3, 1-0 (10-4).
Zudov dropped a close match in No. 4, 6-4, 7-5, which dropped her singles record to 5-4. Njemanze fell in No. 5 singles, 6-1, 7-6 (7-4).
Saunders (No. 6) picked up the lone win for the Mustangs, 6-0, 6-1, which improves her record to 4-3.
Stevenson (6-6, 3-2 MACC) returns to conference play in a match at York (Pa.) College on Tuesday, April 18 at 3:30 p.m.
