Women's Tennis Sweeps Eastern on Senior Day, Improve to 3-2 in Conference Play

Box Score STEVENSON, Md. - The Stevenson women's tennis team improved their MAC Commonwealth record to 3-2 after sweeping Eastern on Senior Day. 

In No. 1 doubles, Torriene Emery and Tiffany Njemanze picked up their third win by an 8-2 score. Jacquelyn Nesbeth and Samantha Zudov won by the same 8-2 score in No. 2 doubles - giving them two wins as a duo. Erin Saunders and Kera Skove improved to 5-1 on the year with an 8-1 win. 

Emery cruised to her sixth singles win of the year in No. 1, 6-0, 6-1. Nesbeth picked up her fifth win of the year in No. 2 by a 6-1, 6-4 score. Mackenzie Dicke, who also earned her fifth win of the year, won her match in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1. 

Zudov won her fifth match of the year in dominating fashion, 6-1, 6-0. Saunders won her third match of the year in straight sets, 6-0, 6-4. Skove won her No. 6 match in thrilling fashion, 6-0, 2-6, 1-0 (11-9), which gives her four wins on the season. 

The Mustangs (6-5, 3-2 MACC) will take on Harford Community College in non-conference matchup on Monday, April 17. First serve is set for 3:30 p.m.
