FIRST QUARTER
The Mustangs gained possession of the ball early, leading to the first goal from VanEmburgh just over two minutes into play. The team denied one attempt from the Devils, en route to scoring five more goals. The Devils managed two goals in the first before Yarusso scored the Mustangs' sixth goal with about a minute remaining.

SECOND QUARTER
An attempt from the Mustangs came early, as Coccia was just wide seven seconds into play. The seventh goal arrived just under two minutes into play from Coccia off a free position. The Devils scored four times, but were unable to keep pace with the Mustangs as the half ended 12-6.

Playing a defensive third, the Mustangs managed a goal from Yarusso with just over a minute remaining. Shucosky denied four attempts from the Devils in the third quarter alone, while the Mustangs added three separate attempts leading up to the lone goal.

The Mustangs made one early attempt, saved by FDU, but did not score in the fourth. The Devils had three goals, but remained trailing the Mustangs, resulting in the 13-10 final decision.
