WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The Stevenson acrobatics & tumbling team (1-1) conclude their second meet of the season with a program-high 198.320 points across all events, trailing the West Liberty University Hilltoppers (2-2) Sunday afternoon in the ASRC.
The Mustangs were behind in the first two events, despite scoring 27.15 in the compulsory event. They went on to notch a 16.45 in the acro event, yet still remained behind the high-scoring Hilltoppers.
The Mustangs managed to trail by only a few in the pyramid event. With a total start value of 29.10 in the event, the Mustangs scored a 26.20, compared to the Hilltoppers' 28.15 score with their 29.65 start value.
With a start value of 26.10 in the toss event, the Mustangs posted posting a 23.30 score against the opponents' 25.40 score in the event with a 27.65 start value.
In their second-ever team event performance, the Mustangs recorded a season- and program-high 64.520 cumulative score, facing their first opponent with a team event this season, topping the Hilltoppers' score of 50.675
