BALTIMORE, Md. - The Stevenson women's tennis took part in the Goucher Invitational, which comprised of individual singles and doubles matches.
Shelby Carter picked up two victories on the day, with the first coming against teammate
Kera Skove, 4-3, 4-2 in the B2 draw. Carter would later defeat Rachel Haupt of Goucher by a 4-1, 4-0 margin (B3).Â
Also picking up singles victories for the Mustangs were MacKenzie Dicke (D2) and
Yana Vaiman (D3). Dicke defeated Gigi Guay of Lebanon Valley by a 4-2, 4-1 score, while Vaiman defeated the same opponent 4-3 (7-2), 4-3 (7-2).Â
Skove had a one-set lead in her B3 match, but would eventually fall in three sets, 3-4, 4-1, 10-1.
Erin Saunders dropped a hard-fought match by a 4-3 (7-3), 4-2 margin.
Stevenson competes next in a team match at Catholic (D.C.) on Wednesday, October 18 at 4 p.m.Â
